Street Fighter took the No. 1 spot at the weekend box office for October 16–18, 2026, opening with an estimated $31 million. Paramount’s video-game adaptation led a Top 10 that also welcomed You Can See Everything, Whalefall, Sense and Sensibility and Jailer 2.
You Can See Everything finished second with $15 million, while last weekend’s leader, Other Mommy, moved to third. The ten highest-ranking films earned a combined $91.652 million; that total covers these ten releases, rather than the entire domestic marketplace.
The table below follows Box Office Mojo’s October 16–18 domestic chart. Figures are weekend estimates and may change when final results are reported. Domestic grosses cover the U.S. and Canada; cumulative totals are domestic, not worldwide.

Street Fighter Takes the Lead
Street Fighter launched in 3,575 theaters, giving it the widest release in this week’s Top 10. Its domestic opening was more than twice the runner-up’s gross, establishing a clear lead at the top of the chart.
Mojo’s individual release page also lists $20.1 million internationally, bringing Street Fighter to $51.1 million worldwide. That global figure is separate from the domestic rankings above.
You Can See Everything Makes Its Locations Count
Second-place You Can See Everything reached its $15 million opening from 855 theaters. That works out to approximately $17,544 per location, calculated from the reported gross and theater count—the highest average among this weekend’s ten leading films.
The contrast with Street Fighter is the weekend’s clearest illustration of why theater counts matter alongside rankings: the runner-up played in fewer than a quarter as many locations, but generated close to half the leader’s gross.
Whalefall and Sense and Sensibility Enter the Top 5
Whalefall opened in fourth, with $8 million domestically. Mojo lists another $9.5 million internationally for a $17.5 million worldwide start. Austin Abrams and Josh Brolin lead Brian Duffield’s survival thriller; read our spoiler-light Whalefall review for more on its performances and claustrophobic premise.
Sense and Sensibility followed in fifth, adding another newcomer to a Top 5 occupied largely by fresh releases.
How the Returning Films Held Up
Other Mommy had the largest percentage decline among the returning Top 10 titles, falling 70%. For context on its arrival at No. 1, revisit last weekend’s box office report.
Resident Evil and Heart of the Beast posted smaller declines than the other returning films in this group. Resident Evil also retains the highest cumulative domestic gross of any film in the current Top 10.
