STARZ has released the official trailer and key art for Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2, revealing a first look at the next chapter of the Outlander prequel as the 1715 Jacobite Rising tears through the Scottish Highlands.
The new season premieres Friday, September 18, 2026 on STARZ, with new episodes streaming weekly on Fridays. Season 2 brings back Jeremy Irvine, Hermione Corfield, Jamie Roy and Harriet Slater as the two couples at the center of the time-traveling drama.

The Season 2 trailer picks up after the events of the first season and throws its characters into an increasingly dangerous Scotland, where the Jacobite rebellion forces the clans to decide where their loyalties lie.
For Brian Fraser and Ellen MacKenzie, that conflict once again threatens to keep them apart. Brian and his cousin Murtagh are called back to Castle Leathers to fight alongside Brian’s father, Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat, while Ellen returns to Castle Leoch to discover her brothers Colum and Dougal divided over how Clan MacKenzie should respond to the uprising.
Ellen attempts to find another way, developing a plan designed to protect the MacKenzies from the Crown regardless of which side ultimately prevails.
Henry And Julia’s Journey Home Goes Wrong
Season 2 also continues the story of Henry and Julia Beauchamp, whose unexpected journey into the past left Claire’s future parents separated for much of Season 1.
After finally finding each other again, Henry and Julia are ready to return to their own time — and to their daughter, Claire.
Their plan doesn’t go as expected.
The couple is separated once more, leaving Henry struggling to find his way back to Julia while dealing with his deteriorating mental health. Julia, meanwhile, is forced to return to Castle Leathers and once again face Lord Lovat, the dangerous man she was compelled to marry.
That puts both of the show’s central romances under pressure as war, clan politics and the mysteries surrounding Craigh Na Dun become increasingly intertwined.

Jeremy Irvine returns as Henry Beauchamp alongside Hermione Corfield as Julia Beauchamp, the parents of Claire Fraser.
Jamie Roy stars as Brian Fraser with Harriet Slater as Ellen MacKenzie, the future parents of Jamie Fraser.
The returning ensemble also includes Tony Curran as Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat; Séamus McLean Ross as Colum MacKenzie; Sam Retford as Dougal MacKenzie; Rory Alexander as Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser; and Conor MacNeillas Ned Gowan.
Matthew B. Roberts continues as showrunner and executive producer. Ronald D. Moore, Maril Davis, Toni Graphia, Luke Schelhaas, Michael Wilson, Jim Kohlberg and Luke Parker Bowles also executive produce. Sony Pictures Television produces the series.
