Real Time with Bill Maher returns Friday night with a new episode featuring Molly Jong-Fast, Rep. Byron Donalds and Michael S. Roth.
The August 28, 2026 episode premieres at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT on HBO and will also be available to stream on HBO Max.
This week’s episode opens with a one-on-one interview with Michael S. Roth, president of Wesleyan University and author of The Student: A Short History.
Maher will then be joined for the panel discussion by Molly Jong-Fast, host of the Fast Politics with Molly Jong-Fastpodcast and author of How to Lose Your Mother: A Daughter’s Memoir, and Rep. Byron Donalds, the Republican congressman representing Florida’s 19th congressional district and his party’s nominee for governor of Florida.
As usual, the hour will also feature Maher’s opening monologue, discussion of the week’s political and cultural news, and the show’s signature “New Rules” segment.
