Vision is back — and he’s bringing one of the MCU’s most dangerous villains with him.
Marvel Television unveiled the first trailer for VisionQuest during D23 2026, offering the biggest look yet at Paul Bettany’s return as Vision and James Spader’s long-awaited return as Ultron.
The new Disney+ series premieres October 14 and will conclude the trilogy that began with WandaVision in 2021 and continued with Agatha All Along in 2024.
When VisionQuest begins, Vision has been rebooted and is living in hiding after escaping those who sought to weaponize him. His search for purpose leads him back into the artificial intelligence buried within his programming — including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S. and, perhaps most dangerously, Ultron.
Things become considerably more complicated when a bounty is placed on Vision’s head, forcing him on the run alongside Thomas Shepard, a mysterious boy who may be the reincarnation of his son.
The series will explore Vision’s continuing attempt to understand humanity and his own identity while confronting Ultron’s influence and unraveling the mystery surrounding Thomas.
Along with the trailer, Marvel also unveiled the official VisionQuest poster during the D23 presentation.
VisionQuest Premieres October 14 on Disney+
VisionQuest stars Paul Bettany as Vision and James Spader as Ultron and premieres October 14 exclusively on Disney+.
The series serves as the final chapter of the story that began with WandaVision and continued through Agatha All Along.
