Marvel Studios has officially introduced its new generation of X-Men.
During D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige closed out the studio’s showcase by revealing the cast of Marvel’s upcoming X-Men movie, which is now set to arrive exclusively in theaters on May 5, 2028.
Sadie Sink will lead the new team as Jean Grey, following the character’s debut in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Sink appeared onstage alongside X-Men director Jake Schreier, who previously helmed Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts*.
The pair were then joined by several of the actors who will make up Marvel’s new X-Men roster.
Kit Connor will play Scott Summers/Cyclops, while Christopher Abbott takes on the role of Professor Charles Xavier. Samara Weaving will portray Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette will play Rogue, and Maya Boyd has been cast as Storm.
Marvel saved one more major reveal for the end of the presentation.
Adam Driver appeared via video to announce that he will play Nathaniel Milbury, a particularly intriguing name for longtime X-Men fans. In Marvel Comics, “Nathaniel Milbury” has been used as an alias connected to Mister Sinister, immediately raising questions about the role Driver’s character could play in the film.
Marvel stopped short of officially identifying Driver as Mister Sinister, however, so for now the studio is only confirming the Nathaniel Milbury name.
The currently announced X-Men cast includes Sadie Sink, Kit Connor, Christopher Abbott, Samara Weaving, Inde Navarrette, Maya Boyd and Adam Driver, with Schreier directing.
