Colter Shaw is back in action in the first Tracker Season 4 trailer as Justin Hartley prepares to hit the road for another season of dangerous missing-person cases.
The new footage previews Colter throwing punches, sliding beneath a moving truck and dodging danger as Randy sends another case his way. It arrives alongside the first photos from the Season 4 premiere, “Safe Harbor,” which sends Colter to the Port of Los Angeles.
Season 4 begins with a teenager searching for his missing father, but what initially appears to be another missing-person case leads Colter directly into a dangerous criminal operation.
CBS has released photos from Tracker Season 4 Episode 1, “Safe Harbor,” premiering Sunday, October 4. Justin Hartley returns as Colter for a new case that begins with a teenager searching for his missing father and quickly leads to something much more dangerous.
Colter’s search takes him to the Port of Los Angeles, where he discovers that the father’s disappearance may be connected to a dangerous criminal operation.
The case puts Colter directly in the middle of the operation as he attempts to uncover what happened to the missing man and reunite him with his son.

The first Tracker Season 4 trailer makes it clear Colter won’t be slowing down when the CBS drama returns. The footage shows Colter back on the road and taking on several dangerous situations as new people turn to him for help finding their missing loved ones.
Randy also returns to help connect Colter with new cases, while one desperate mother asks Colter to find her missing daughter. “I’ll do everything I can,” Colter promises before heading back into the wilderness.
Season 4 will also bring Jensen Ackles back as Colter’s brother Russell Shaw following the revelations surrounding their father’s mysterious work at the end of Season 3.
Colter Shaw Takes On A New Case In The Tracker Season 4 Premiere
“Safe Harbor” launches another season of cases for Colter, whose skills as a reward seeker take him across the country helping people find missing loved ones and uncover answers that others have been unable to find.
The Port of Los Angeles setting gives the Season 4 opener a potentially large canvas, with Colter’s seemingly straightforward search leading him into a broader criminal operation.
Justin Hartley returns to lead Tracker as Colter Shaw. The CBS drama is based on Jeffrey Deaver’s bestselling novel The Never Game.
“Safe Harbor” is written by Alex Katnelson and Annakate Chappell and directed by Joel Novoa.
Tracker Season 4 Episode 1, “Safe Harbor,” airs Sunday, October 4 at 9:30 PM ET on CBS and at 9:00 PM PT on the West Coast. The premiere will also stream live and on demand for Paramount+ Premium subscribers, with Paramount+ Essential subscribers able to watch on demand the following day.
Tracker Season 4 returns to CBS on Sunday, October 4, 2026. The Season 4 premiere, “Safe Harbor,” airs at 9:30 PM ET, with the series moving to its regular 9:00 PM Sunday time slot beginning October 11.
