Zootopia 2 Holds #1 as This Weekend’s Top 5 Box Office Is Revealed

The weekend box office was led once again by Disney’s Zootopia 2, which topped the charts with an estimated $26.3 million from 3,835 theaters. The animated sequel dipped 39% from last weekend but continued its strong domestic run, pushing its cumulative total to $258.97 million.

Universal’s Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 held the No. 2 spot, earning $19.5 million from 3,579 locations. The horror sequel saw a steep 70% drop in its second weekend but still brought its domestic total to $95.48 million, putting it on track to cross the $100 million mark.

Rounding out the top three, Universal’s Wicked: For Good grossed $8.55 million from 3,480 theaters. Despite a 51% decline, the musical juggernaut continued to demonstrate staying power, surpassing $312.14 million domestically.

In fourth place, Dhurandhar posted $3.45 million from just 377 theaters, delivering the highest per-theater average of the weekend at $9,152. The release saw a 54% increase over last weekend, signaling growing audience demand.

Lionsgate’s Now You See Me: Now You Don’t rounded out the Top 5 with $2.38 million from 2,411 locations. The latest installment in the franchise dipped 32% but lifted its domestic total to $59.34 million.
