Brad Pitt is back behind the wheel as Cliff Booth. Netflix has released the official trailer for The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, David Fincher’s new film that returns to Quentin Tarantino’s alternate Hollywood—this time with a 1977-set crime story, a new problem-solving job for Cliff and plenty of danger waiting around the next corner.
Eight years after the events of Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, Cliff has moved beyond his old stuntman life. He earns money bartending and working as a projectionist, but his more unusual skill set has made him a fixer for Hollywood’s messy problems. The trailer sets up a sun-soaked but increasingly dangerous Los Angeles where murder, blackmail, theft and extortion are all part of the job.
David Fincher Directs a New Script by Quentin Tarantino
The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth is directed by Fincher from a screenplay by Tarantino. It is a particularly exciting creative handoff: Pitt is returning to the Oscar-winning role he originated in Tarantino’s 2019 film, while Fincher brings his own sharp, controlled sensibility to the next chapter.
The new trailer introduces talent agent Karen Crosby (Elizabeth Debicki), who calls Cliff on behalf of her client, television star Charlie Peters (Scott Caan). Cliff’s work also brings him into contact with Charlie’s wife Toni (Carla Gugino), former football star turned actor Roderick “Hot Rod” Harrison (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) and the mysterious Verdusco brothers, played by Matt Groove and JB Tadena.
The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth Cast
Along with Pitt, Debicki, Caan, Gugino and Abdul-Mateen II, the film stars Peter Weller, Corey Fogelmanis and Karren Karagulian. Pitt produces with Ceán Chaffin. Fincher’s longtime collaborators include cinematographer Erik Messerschmidt, production designer Donald Graham Burt, editor Kirk Baxter, costume designer Trish Summerville and sound designer Ren Klyce.
When Does The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth Open?
The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth opens in IMAX theaters globally on November 25, 2026, for an exclusive two-week run before debuting on Netflix on December 23, 2026.
