Netflix has released the official trailer for The Diplomat Season 4, putting Keri Russell’s Kate Wyler back in the middle of an increasingly dangerous international crisis when the political drama returns October 15, 2026.
The new season finds President Grace Penn (Allison Janney) and Vice President Hal Wyler (Rufus Sewell) pushing the limits of American power, while Kate begins questioning just how far the administration is willing to go. Bradley Whitford also returns as First Gentleman Todd Penn, with Kate and Todd forming an uneasy alliance against Grace and Hal as the political and personal relationships at the center of the series grow increasingly volatile.

Creator, showrunner and executive producer Debora Cahn has described Season 4 as being built around Kate, Hal, Grace and Todd, with the two couples increasingly entangled as their public responsibilities collide with their marriages.
