Slow Horses isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Apple TV has renewed the acclaimed spy drama for Season 8, extending the Gary Oldman-led series before Season 6 even premieres.
The newly announced eighth season will consist of six episodes and will adapt Clown Town, the ninth novel in Mick Herron’s Slough House book series. Oldman will return as Jackson Lamb, the brilliant, irascible leader of MI5’s dysfunctional Slough House team.
The renewal comes at an especially busy moment for Slow Horses. The first five seasons are currently streaming on Apple TV, Season 6 premieres Wednesday, September 16, 2026, and Season 7 was previously announced.
“Slow Horses continues to charm audiences all around the world and I’m delighted that Jackson Lamb and his gang of lovable misfits will be back for an eighth season. Their acerbic take on the high-octane world of espionage is completely unique,” said Jay Hunt, creative director, International, Apple TV.
