2026 Emmy Awards Winners: Main Ceremony Winners List – The Pitt, Widow’s Bay and DTF St. Louis Take Top Prizes

The Emmys 2026 ceremony has crowned television’s biggest winners, with Widow’s Bay, The Pitt and DTF St. Louis taking home the top series prizes at the 78th Emmy Awards.

Widow’s Bay was named Outstanding Comedy Series after a huge Emmy run that also brought wins for Matthew Rhys, Stephen Root, Kate O’Flynn, writer Katie Dippold and director Hiro Murai. The Apple TV horror comedy finished with 14 Emmys overall, setting a new record for the most wins by a comedy series in a single season.

HBO Max drama The Pitt repeated as Outstanding Drama Series, while Noah Wyle won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for playing Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch. DTF St. Louis claimed Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series.

Rhys also pulled off one of the night’s most unusual achievements. In addition to winning Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Widow’s Bay, he won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for The Beast in Me.

Jean Smart won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Hacks, Rhea Seehorn won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Pluribus, and Sally Field won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for Remarkably Bright Creatures.

Widow’s Bay finished the 2026 Emmy Awards with 14 wins across the main ceremony and Creative Arts Emmys, setting a new record for the most Emmys won by a comedy series in a single season. The Apple TV series entered the main ceremony with eight wins from the Creative Arts Emmys before adding six more on September 14.

The Pitt also had a major Emmy showing. The HBO Max drama entered the main ceremony with four Creative Arts wins before capturing Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Noah Wyle on September 14.

Matthew Rhys Wins Two Acting Emmys in One Night

Matthew Rhys pulled off a rare Emmy double, winning lead acting awards in two different categories. Rhys first won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Widow’s Bay before adding Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for The Beast in Me.

Michael J. Fox Receives the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award

Michael J. Fox received the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award in recognition of his contributions to Parkinson’s disease research and advocacy. His former The Good Wife costar Julianna Margulies presented him with the honor.

The ceremony also featured Noah Kahan performing “Bridge Over Troubled Waters” during the In Memoriam segment and Reba McEntire performing “Appalachian Memories” in a tribute to Dolly Parton. David Boreanaz and Sarah Michelle Gellar celebrated the 30th anniversary of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, while Kate Jackson, Cheryl Ladd and Jaclyn Smith marked the 50th anniversary of Charlie’s Angels.
