Netflix is heading into September 2026 with major returning series, new originals, movies and plenty of additions to its streaming library.
One of the month’s biggest returns arrives early with The Gentlemen Season 2 on September 3. Theo James and Kaya Scodelario return as Eddie Horniman and Susie Glass, whose increasingly ambitious criminal enterprise expands beyond Britain as Guy Ritchie’s series heads into a bigger, more international second season.
Later in the month, Hawkins gets strange again when Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 Season 2 premieres September 17. The animated series reunites the Hawkins Investigators Club for a new supernatural mystery involving mysterious flowers, ghostly apparitions and creatures known as hate sprites.
Netflix will also take viewers back to Hillman College when A Different World premieres September 24. The new series follows Deborah Wayne, the daughter of Whitley Gilbert and Dwayne Wayne, as she begins her own college experience alongside a new generation of Hillman students, with original stars Jasmine Guy, Kadeem Hardison, Cree Summer and Darryl M. Bell returning.
Those are just a few of the highlights in a September lineup that stretches across drama, comedy, animation, movies, documentaries, international programming and familiar catalog favorites.
