Watching Peacock just got more expensive.
Peacock has raised the prices of all three of its subscription tiers, with Premium and Premium Plus each increasing by several dollars per month and annual plans also getting more expensive.
The new prices took effect August 18, 2026 for new and returning subscribers. Existing Peacock subscribers will begin paying the higher rates on their next billing date on or after September 17.
How Much Does Peacock Cost Now?
Here are Peacock’s new subscription prices:
- Peacock Select: $8.99/month, up from $7.99
- Peacock Premium: $12.99/month, up from $10.99
- Peacock Premium Plus: $19.99/month, up from $16.99
Annual subscriptions are also increasing:
- Peacock Select: $89.99/year, up from $79.99
- Peacock Premium: $129.99/year, up from $109.99
- Peacock Premium Plus: $199.99/year, up from $169.99
That means Premium subscribers are paying $2 more each month, while Premium Plus has increased by $3 per month. On an annual basis, Premium increases by $20 and Premium Plus by $30.
When Does the Peacock Price Increase Start?
The higher prices are already in effect for anyone signing up or returning to Peacock as of August 18.
Existing subscribers have a little more time. Peacock says customers who subscribed before August 18 will move to the new pricing on their next billing date on or after September 17, 2026.
Anyone currently subscribed through an active promotional offer will continue paying the promotional price until that offer expires. The subscription will then renew at the new regular price.
Why Is Peacock Raising Its Prices?
Peacock says the increases will allow the streaming service to continue improving the viewer experience, remain competitive and deliver programming across a wide range of genres.
The latest increase comes as streaming services across the industry continue to adjust subscription prices while investing heavily in original programming, movies, live sports and other exclusive content.
Peacock subscribers can find complete information about the changes, including when their individual subscription will be affected, on Peacock’s official price increase page.
Should Peacock Subscribers Switch to an Annual Plan?
For viewers planning to keep Peacock throughout the year, annual billing remains less expensive than paying month-to-month.
Twelve months of Peacock Premium at the new $12.99 monthly rate would cost $155.88, compared with $129.99 for an annual subscription — a difference of $25.89.
Premium Plus would cost $239.88 over 12 months at the $19.99 monthly rate, compared with $199.99 annually — a difference of $39.89.
There is one important catch: Peacock warns that subscribers currently using a promotional offer will lose their promotional pricing if they switch plans, so those customers may be better off waiting until the promotion expires.
