Looking for something to watch on Netflix? Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story held onto the top spot among English-language shows, UNABOMBER opened at No. 1 among English-language movies, and a Turkish thriller drew one of the week’s largest audiences.
Netflix publishes four separate global Top 10 lists: English and non-English movies, plus English and non-English shows. As with Seat42F’s previous roundup, these are ten notable titles selected across those charts, rather than a combined ranking. Each entry gives its position on Netflix’s actual list. The figures cover September 21–27, 2026.
1. Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story
14.5 million views | No. 1 English-language show
Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story topped the English-language television chart for a second week. Its 14.5 million views represent a 20% increase from the previous week, an unusually strong hold for a series that already had a sizable debut.
Ella Beatty plays Lizzie Borden in the latest installment of Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s anthology. Seat42F’s spoiler-light review looks at the series’ performances, period style and approach to a case that remains deeply embedded in American folklore.
2. UNABOMBER
16.4 million views | No. 1 English-language movie
UNABOMBER had the biggest debut on Netflix’s English-language movie chart this week. Jacob Tremblay plays a young Ted Kaczynski, with Russell Crowe, Annabelle Wallis and Shailene Woodley also in the cast.
The drama follows Kaczynski from his years as a gifted student toward the violence for which he became infamous. For a closer assessment of how the film handles that transformation, read Seat42F’s UNABOMBER review.
3. Not a Stranger
9.7 million views | No. 1 non-English-language show
The Turkish thriller Not a Stranger led Netflix’s non-English television list and drew more views than any English-language show except Monster.
Elçin Sangu plays Funda, a new mother hoping to return to her painting career. Hiring a nanny seems to offer the help she needs, but the woman’s arrival unsettles the household she shares with her husband. Melis Sezen and Ozan Dolunay also star in the eight-episode series.
4. Best of the Best
7.3 million views | No. 2 English-language movie
Best of the Best moved up to second place among English-language movies. Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Priyanka Kedia star as childhood friends who join UCLA’s intensely competitive Bollywood-fusion dance team.
The film offers a lighter option amid this week’s crime and mystery titles. Seat42F’s Best of the Best review explores the friendship and choreography that give its familiar competition story a personality of its own.
5. Wonka’s The Golden Ticket
4.6 million views | No. 2 English-language show
Reality competition Wonka’s The Golden Ticket entered the English-language television chart at No. 2. Inspired by the world of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the series sends golden ticket winners and their chosen partners into a factory filled with games, tests and temptations.
Its opening-week audience put it just ahead of several returning scripted series, including Crew Girl and The Gentlemen.
6. Crew Girl Season 1
4.5 million views | No. 3 English-language show
Crew Girl placed third among English-language shows for a third consecutive week. The YA drama stars Miku Martineau as Teagan, a rower who lands in the coxswain seat of her new school’s boys’ crew while navigating rivalries, romance and her own ambitions on the water.
The show has also been renewed for a second season. Catch up with Seat42F’s spoiler-light review and renewal coverage.
7. A Different World Season 1
4.2 million views | No. 4 English-language show
Netflix’s new A Different World brought viewers back to Hillman College and debuted in fourth place. The sequel follows a new class that includes Deborah, the daughter of original-series favorites Dwayne Wayne and Whitley Gilbert.
Maleah Joi Moon leads the younger cast, while Kadeem Hardison and Jasmine Guy connect this chapter to the original sitcom. Seat42F’s A Different World review considers how the show handles that inheritance while making space for its new students.
8. The Gentlemen Season 2
4.2 million views | No. 5 English-language show
The Gentlemen Season 2 remained in Netflix’s English-language Top 10 for a fourth week. Theo James and Kaya Scodelario return as Eddie Horniman and Susie Glass, whose growing criminal partnership takes them beyond the confines of the family estate.
The first season also reentered the chart at No. 8 with 2.4 million views, suggesting viewers are catching up on both chapters. Read Seat42F’s Season 2 review for more on Eddie and Susie’s expanded world.
9. Irumudi
3.4 million views | No. 1 non-English-language movie
Indian thriller Irumudi led the non-English-language movie chart. Ravi Teja plays a troubled father who undertakes a revered spiritual practice at his daughter’s request, placing family and faith at the center of the story.
Its 3.4 million views made it the leading film on a separate chart that also included Modha Rathri and Facing El Chapo in the next two positions.
10. KPop Demon Hunters
2.5 million views | No. 9 English-language movie
KPop Demon Hunters is still finding an audience. The animated musical placed ninth among English-language movies with another 2.5 million views, marking its 66th week on Netflix’s global Top 10 chart.
That longevity makes it the most striking holdover in this week’s movie lineup, where new releases and recently added films occupy most of the higher positions.
What Should You Watch on Netflix This Week?
For a dark drama, Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story remains the television chart’s clear leader. Not a Stranger offers a domestic mystery, while Crew Girl and A Different World provide character-driven alternatives. Movie viewers can choose between the much-discussed UNABOMBER and the lighter college dance comedy Best of the Best.
The complete rankings and viewing figures are available from Netflix’s global movie charts and global television charts. Availability of individual titles may vary by country.
