Maxton Hall — The World Between Us is heading back to Prime Video for one last semester.
Prime Video has announced that Maxton Hall Season 3 will premiere globally on December 9, 2026, bringing Ruby Bell and James Beaufort’s story to a close with a six-episode final season. Harriet Herbig-Matten and Damian Hardung return in the lead roles.
The exact premiere date arrives after Prime Video previously revealed that the series would return in December. Fans won’t have to wait until then for another look at the final chapter, however: producer UFA says the first Season 3 sneak peek will be released September 3.
What Is Maxton Hall Season 3 About?
Season 3 picks up with Ruby facing the possibility that everything she has worked toward could disappear.
After being suspended from Maxton Hall College, Ruby’s dream of attending Oxford is in jeopardy. She refuses to give up, and James remains by her side as the pair fight to prove her innocence. Their search for the truth will put friendships under pressure and expose secrets that threaten their future together.
The final season is based on Save Us, the third novel in Mona Kasten’s bestselling trilogy.
Who Is Returning For Maxton Hall Season 3?
Harriet Herbig-Matten returns as Ruby, with Damian Hardung once again starring as James.
The returning ensemble includes Sonja Weißer as Lydia, Eidin Jalali as Graham, Ben Felipe as Cyril, Fedja van Huêt as Mortimer, Runa Greiner as Ember, Justus Riesner as Alistair, Govinda Gabriel as Kesh, Andrea Guo as Lin, Frederic Balonier as Kieran, Eli Riccardi as Elaine and Dagny Dewath as Ophelia.
Martin Schreier returns to direct Season 3. Sandra Stöckmann and Ceylan Yildirim serve as head writers, with Catharina Junk, Marlene Melchior and Aylin Kockler also writing for the final season.

The final-season announcement closes out one of Prime Video’s biggest international success stories.
Prime Video identifies Maxton Hall — The World Between Us as the most successful scripted international Original series in the service’s history. The series is available in more than 240 countries and regions worldwide.
That makes the final season considerably more than a routine conclusion for the German-language romantic drama. Ruby and James’ story has developed into a global franchise for Prime Video since the show’s 2024 debut.
Both previous seasons are currently available to stream ahead of the final chapter.
