Netflix is keeping Tires on the road.
The streamer has officially renewed the Shane Gillis comedy for Season 4 following a record-setting run for the show’s third season. Tires Season 3 recently climbed to No. 5 on Netflix’s Global Top 10 English TV list, marking the series’ highest ranking to date.
The renewal extends a comedy that began as an independently produced project before Netflix picked it up for distribution in 2024. Shane Gillis, Steve Gerben and John McKeever co-created the workplace comedy, which follows the dysfunctional crew at Valley Forge Automotive Center.
Tires Keeps Growing On Netflix
According to Netflix, the first three seasons of Tires have generated more than 45 million views since the show’s 2024 debut. Season 3 arrived on August 13 and initially debuted at No. 3 on Netflix’s U.S. Top 10 English TV chart with 2 million views before reaching its new global high.
Netflix Vice President of U.S. Comedy Tracey Pakosta pointed directly to that growth when announcing the renewal, saying Season 3’s Top 10 performance demonstrates that the show’s fandom continues to expand.
Gillis kept his reaction considerably shorter.
“It’s cool to get to make another season of Tires.”
McKeever added that he loves the series and the people working on it and is excited to continue.
What Is Tires About?
Tires centers on Will (Steve Gerben), the nervous and underqualified heir to an auto repair chain who tries to turn his family’s business around while dealing with constant trouble from his cousin and employee Shane (Gillis).
Season 3 finds Will and Shane adjusting to life as part owners while struggling to keep Valley Forge afloat. As both their business and friendship approach a breaking point, the pair begin looking to their past for answers about their future.
The cast includes Gillis, Gerben, Chris O’Connor, Kilah Fox, Stavros Halkias and Thomas Haden Church. Netflix’s official series page currently lists all three seasons as available to stream.
Shane Gillis And Netflix Expand Their Partnership
The Season 4 pickup also comes amid a broader relationship between Gillis, McKeever and Netflix. Gillis and McKeever struck a creative partnership with the streamer earlier this year to develop additional television shows and movies, while Gillis is also set to film two new stand-up specials.
Tires has maintained particularly strong ties to Pennsylvania. All three seasons have filmed in the state, with Season 3 working with more than 250 local vendors and businesses across West Chester, Philadelphia, Phoenixville, Oaks, Frazer and Glenside.
Netflix has not yet announced a premiere date or episode count for Tires Season 4.
