Originally airing March 10, 2015 on ABC, the episode brings Lady Sif back to Earth under unusual circumstances while pushing Skye’s transformation — and the mystery surrounding the Kree — further into the spotlight.
What Happens in “Who You Really Are”?
Coulson and the S.H.I.E.L.D. team encounter a confused Lady Sif after she emerges in Portugal with no memory of who she is or why she came to Earth.
Her missing memories are connected to a mysterious warrior named Vin-Tak (Eddie McClintock). The investigation eventually reveals that Vin-Tak is Kree and has come to Earth because of the activation of an ancient Kree device.
That discovery brings the larger mystery surrounding Skye into sharper focus. Her transformation has left her struggling with abilities she doesn’t fully understand, while the arrival of Sif and Vin-Tak reveals more about the Kree experiments that changed humans thousands of years earlier.
Elsewhere, Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki) and Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie (Henry Simmons) continue hiding their true mission from Coulson and the rest of the team, adding another layer of distrust inside S.H.I.E.L.D.
The episode also stars Iain De Caestecker as Leo Fitz and Elizabeth Henstridge as Jemma Simmons.
