Lioness reaches the end of its third season with Episode 8, “The Unraveling,” and Joe McNamara isn’t finished fighting yet.
Paramount+ has released the official promo and photos for the Lioness Season 3 finale, which premieres Sunday, September 20. The finale picks up after Joe (Zoe Saldaña) survived her kidnapping and made it clear that going home wasn’t enough — she wants the people responsible.
According to the official synopsis for “The Unraveling,” “Kyle’s chase sparks deadly fallout as Joe uncovers a wider plot.”
The finale brings Zoe Saldaña back alongside Nicole Kidman as Kaitlyn Meade, while the newly released photos also offer another look at Laysla De Oliveira as Cruz Manuelos and Genesis Rodriguez as Josie Carrillo.

What Happens in the Lioness Season 3 Finale?
“The Unraveling” follows Kyle’s continuing pursuit as Joe discovers that the operation targeting her is part of a larger plot. After surviving her kidnapping in Episode 7, Joe chose not to return home to Neal and their daughters, instead committing herself to finding the people responsible for what happened to her.
With the conspiracy that has driven much of Season 3 finally coming into focus, Episode 8 is positioned to reveal who has been operating behind the network targeting Joe and her team.
The finale will also bring Joe and Kaitlyn back together, while Cruz and Josie reunite following Cruz’s role in the desperate mission to rescue Joe.
