The hit CBS comedy Ghosts returns with a heartwarming and hilarious new installment in Ghosts Season 5 Episode 4, titled “Bring Your Daughter to Work Day.” The episode airs Thursday, Nov. 6 (8:31–9:01 PM ET/PT) on CBS, and streams the following day on Paramount+ for both Premium and Essential subscribers.
This week, Trevor (Asher Grodman) finds an unexpected and heartfelt way to deepen his relationship with Abby (Gideon Adlon), the daughter he only recently learned about. Wanting to spend more time with her — but limited by the whole “being a ghost” thing — Trevor cleverly arranges for Abby to get a job at Jay’s new restaurant, giving him a chance to bond, offer guidance, and nudge her toward making good choices…whether she realizes he’s helping or not.
Their father-daughter dynamic delivers a warm emotional core to the episode, while also offering plenty of comedic moments as Trevor tries to parent from the afterlife. Abby’s presence at the restaurant also creates new chaos for Jay, who is still adjusting to running the business while constantly (and unknowingly) surrounded by well-meaning spirits.
The World of Ghosts at Woodstone Mansion
Ghosts continues to charm audiences with its signature blend of comedic character work, heartfelt storytelling, and supernatural whimsy. The series follows Samantha (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar), a married couple who turned the inherited Woodstone Mansion into a bed-and-breakfast — only to discover that it is inhabited by a large, eclectic (and extremely talkative) group of ghosts.
The hilarious ensemble of spirits includes:
Danielle Pinnock as Alberta, the glamorous Prohibition-era lounge singer
Brandon Scott Jones as Isaac, the pompous Revolutionary War militiaman
Sheila Carrasco as Flower, the free-spirited ‘60s hippie
Richie Moriarty as Pete, the overly optimistic ‘80s scout leader
Devon Chandler Long as Thorfinn, the Viking warrior with a love for cod
Asher Grodman as Trevor, the lovable and exasperating ‘90s finance bro
Román Zaragoza as Sasappis, the sarcastic storyteller
Rebecca Wisocky as Hetty, the 19th-century society matriarch
Devan Chandler Long as Thorfinn, the fearless Viking explorer
Each ghost brings a unique perspective to Woodstone Mansion, contributing to the comedy and chaos that Sam and Jay navigate daily. Jay’s restaurant has become the latest hotspot for ghost-induced hilarity, serving as a new environment where the spirits can meddle, comment, and stir up trouble.
Starring: Rose McIver, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Asher Grodman, Gideon Adlon, and the full Ghosts ensemble
The creative team once again blends humor and heart, delivering an episode that deepens character relationships while keeping the laughs coming.
