Fanatics is bringing more of its growing sports ecosystem under one roof with the launch of Fanatics Sports & Casino, a new unified app designed to give fans access to sports betting, casino games and prediction markets through a single account.
Launched Wednesday, September 2, the new Fanatics Sports & Casino app combines Fanatics Sportsbook, Fanatics Casino and Fanatics Markets into one experience, with a shared account and FanCash balance connected to the company’s Fanatics ONE loyalty program.
Rather than requiring customers to move between separate Fanatics gaming products, the app automatically adjusts what is available based on a user’s location.
That distinction is important. While Fanatics says the app is available to customers across the country, including states such as California, Texas and Florida, not every feature is legally available everywhere.
Fanatics Sportsbook currently operates in 23 states and Washington, D.C., while Fanatics Casino is available in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia. Fanatics Markets, the company’s event-contract prediction markets platform, is available in 22 states and four U.S. territories.
“Sports fans have been asking for a better gaming experience, and this is it,” Fanatics Betting and Gaming CEO Matt King said in announcing the launch. “Fanatics Sports & Casino gives fans across America one app where the experience travels with them, from betting the game, to trading on its biggest moments, to playing casino games.”
FanCash Connects The New Fanatics App
The larger play may be less about simply putting three gaming products into one app and more about connecting them to the rest of the Fanatics business.
Customers can earn FanCash through eligible bets, trades and casino play, with those rewards tied into Fanatics ONE. FanCash can also be used elsewhere in the company’s ecosystem, including on merchandise and collectibles.
Fanatics recently launched Fanatics ONE as an enterprise-wide loyalty program designed to connect businesses that now extend well beyond the company’s roots in licensed sports merchandise.
The Fanatics portfolio includes commerce, collectibles, sports betting, casino gaming, prediction markets, live events and sports entertainment. Fanatics ONE gives the company a way to connect activity across those different businesses through one rewards program.
That means a customer’s activity surrounding a game can potentially extend from placing a bet or trading an event contract to earning rewards that can be redeemed for a jersey or collectible.
One Fanatics Account Across Multiple Gaming Products
Existing Fanatics Sportsbook, Fanatics Casino and Fanatics Markets customers do not need to create new accounts to use Fanatics Sports & Casino.
According to the company, existing account information, funds, FanCash balances and Fanatics ONE status will carry over when customers update to the new app.
The experience is also designed around location. A customer traveling between states can continue using the same app and account, while Fanatics adjusts the products available based on the laws and regulations where that customer is physically located.
Fanatics Sports & Casino is available now for iOS and Android.
