Wonder Man Renewed for Season 2 at Marvel Television

Marvel Television has officially announced that Wonder Man will return for a second season on Disney+, continuing the story of Simon Williams and Trevor Slattery following the show’s critically acclaimed debut.

“Wonder Man Season 2 has officially been confirmed by Marvel Television, with the Disney+ series continuing after a critically acclaimed first season.”

Stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Ben Kingsley are set to reprise their roles as Simon and Trevor, with series co-creators Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest also returning. Guest will once again serve as showrunner and executive producer, while Cretton returns as director and executive producer. Cretton is also set to direct Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which hits theaters July 31, 2026.

Season 1 of Wonder Man followed aspiring actor Simon Williams as he struggled to break into Hollywood, ultimately crossing paths with Trevor Slattery, a seasoned actor whose career is long past its peak. The two form an unlikely partnership as they pursue roles in a remake of the fictional 1980s cult superhero film Wonder Man, directed by the enigmatic Von Kovak.

Blending Hollywood satire with superhero storytelling, the series offered a unique behind-the-scenes look at the entertainment industry through the lens of two actors at very different stages in their careers. The show resonated with critics and audiences alike, earning a strong 91% score on Rotten Tomatoes following its January debut.

With its mix of sharp humor, industry commentary, and character-driven storytelling, Wonder Man quickly established itself as one of Marvel Television’s more distinctive entries — making its Season 2 renewal a natural next step.

The first episode of Wonder Man is currently available to watch for free on YouTube, while the full first season is now streaming on Disney+.
