Set 40 miles off the coast of New England, Widow’s Bay takes viewers to a seemingly quiet island town where something far darker lurks beneath the surface. The Apple TV+ series stars Matthew Rhys as Mayor Tom Loftis, a well-meaning but often overwhelmed leader desperate to revive his struggling community and create a better future for his teenage son.

With no Wi-Fi, unreliable cell service, and a deeply superstitious population convinced the island is cursed, Loftis faces an uphill battle trying to turn Widow’s Bay into a tourist destination.

But just as his plans begin to succeed and visitors finally start arriving, the terrifying local legends that once seemed impossible suddenly begin coming true. Blending genuine horror with sharp character-driven comedy, Widow’s Bay continues to build one of Apple TV+’s most intriguing new genre series.
