Prime Video has released the first teaser for THE GREATEST, offering an early look at the highly anticipated scripted drama based on the life of Muhammad Ali while also confirming the series will premiere Wednesday, November 4, 2026. The authorized drama will stream exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
The premiere date was revealed during a special first-look presentation at the ESSENCE Festival of Culture®, where creator, showrunner, and executive producer Ben Watkins joined series star Jaalen Best, along with cast members Dana Gourrier, Amin Joseph, Kai Parham, and Michael Ealy, for a discussion about bringing the legendary boxer’s remarkable story to the screen. Fans in attendance were also treated to an exclusive first-look teaser from the upcoming series.

THE GREATEST offers an intimate look at the life of Muhammad Ali, exploring the man behind one of the most iconic names in sports history. Rather than focusing solely on his unforgettable victories inside the ring, the series also examines Ali’s personal journey, humanitarian work, cultural impact, and lasting legacy around the world.
Executive produced by Lonnie Ali, Muhammad Ali’s widow, THE GREATEST is the first authorized scripted television series based on the life of the boxing legend, giving the creative team unprecedented access to tell his story.
Star-Studded Creative Team
The series comes from Ben Watkins’ Blue Monday Productions alongside Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society, with additional production from Authentic Studios, Roc Nation, Polygram Entertainment, and Grace: A Storytelling Company.
Watkins serves as showrunner and executive producer, while Elizabeth Raposo, Corey Salter, Marc Rosen, Matthew Gross, Aiyana White, Jeff Augustin, Owen Shiflett, Josh Wakely, and several other producers round out the creative team behind the ambitious drama.
