The Gentlemen isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Netflix has officially renewed Guy Ritchie’s crime series for Season 3 before the second season has even premiered, giving Theo James’ Eddie Horniman and Kaya Scodelario’s Susie Glass plenty more criminal business to handle.
The early renewal arrives alongside the first full trailer for The Gentlemen Season 2, which premieres September 3 on Netflix and finds Eddie becoming considerably more ambitious about his place in the criminal underworld.
After spending Season 1 discovering that he had an unexpected talent for the family business, Eddie is no longer simply trying to survive it.
Now he wants more.
The Gentlemen Renewed for Season 3 at Netflix
Netflix confirmed the Season 3 renewal on August 24, more than a week before Season 2 begins streaming.
Guy Ritchie will return for the third season, with the creator and director making clear that he believes the world of The Gentlemen still has considerable room to grow.
“The ambition of The Gentlemen has accelerated, the world has expanded, and the consequences carry weight,” Ritchie said in announcing the renewal. “A third season felt inevitable, and I’m looking forward to pushing the boundaries of it further.”
Netflix has not announced a release date or story details for Season 3.
The renewal nevertheless represents a significant vote of confidence in the series, particularly because Netflix isn’t waiting to see how audiences respond to Season 2 before ordering another chapter.
The Gentlemen Season 2 Trailer Sends Eddie and Susie to Italy
Before anyone starts worrying about Season 3, Eddie and Susie have considerably more immediate problems.
The new Season 2 trailer picks up roughly one year after Eddie and Susie joined forces within Bobby Glass’ criminal empire.
Eddie has embraced the possibilities of his unusual combination of aristocratic privilege and criminal power. Instead of looking for an escape, he is attempting to expand the operation — and his ambition threatens to complicate nearly every relationship around him.
That expansion takes Eddie and Susie beyond the cannabis operation beneath Halstead and into Italy, where they attempt to establish a foothold in a considerably more dangerous criminal world.
Their plans bring them into contact with Marco Moretti, a powerful Italian crime boss played by Sergio Castellitto, and Cico Maldini, an unpredictable fixer played by Michele Morrone.
Neither appears likely to make Eddie’s expansion particularly easy.

The trailer suggests Season 2 will significantly increase the scale of Eddie and Susie’s operation, with betrayals, power struggles and Eddie’s growing appetite for influence threatening the partnership that helped them survive Season 1.
The central question may no longer be whether Eddie belongs in this world.
It’s whether he wants too much of it.
The Gentlemen Season 2 Cast
Theo James returns as Eddie Horniman alongside Kaya Scodelario as Susie Glass, Ray Winstone as Bobby Glass, Daniel Ings as Freddy Horniman, Joely Richardson as Lady Sabrina, Vinnie Jones as Geoff Seacombe and Giancarlo Esposito as Stanley Johnston.
Other returning cast members include Jasmine Blackborow, Michael Vu, Harry Goodwins, Ruby Sear and Pearce Quigley.
Season 2 also expands the ensemble with Hugh Bonneville, Benjamin Clementine, Benedetta Porcaroli, Michele Morrone, Sergio Castellitto, Amra Mallassi, Tyler Conti, Chris Eubank Jr. and Maya Jama.
Guy Ritchie, Eran Creevy and Nick Rowland direct episodes during the second season, with Ritchie, Matthew Read, Danielle Ward, John Jackson and Iain Weatherby among the writers.
What Is The Gentlemen Season 2 About?
Season 2 takes place approximately one year after Eddie and Susie began working together inside Bobby Glass’ overseas criminal empire.
As the pair attempts to expand the business, Bobby begins making increasingly questionable decisions. Eddie and Susie are eventually forced to decide whether to intervene or risk watching everything they’ve built collapse.
For Eddie, however, the situation is complicated by something more dangerous than Bobby.
Ambition.
After reluctantly entering the criminal world in Season 1, Eddie has discovered that he enjoys it. His status as the Duke of Halstead gives him access to one world while his partnership with the Glass family gives him power in another.
Season 2 appears ready to test how much of himself Eddie is willing to sacrifice to control both.

The Gentlemen Season 2 premieres September 3, 2026, exclusively on Netflix.
Netflix has not yet announced when The Gentlemen Season 3 will premiere.
Is Meghan Markle Joining The Gentlemen Season 3?
Reports about Meghan Markle potentially joining The Gentlemen have circulated ahead of the Season 3 renewal, but Netflix’s official announcement does not confirm her as a cast member.
Until Netflix or the production announces otherwise, any potential Season 3 role for Markle should be treated separately from today’s confirmed renewal.
What Does the Season 3 Renewal Mean?
The timing may be the most interesting part of Netflix’s announcement.
Season 2 hasn’t premiered yet, meaning Netflix already has enough confidence in The Gentlemen to begin planning another season rather than waiting for September viewing data.
It also gives Guy Ritchie and the creative team an opportunity to treat the upcoming episodes as the middle of a continuing story rather than wondering whether Eddie and Susie’s criminal enterprise will end after Season 2.
And considering Eddie’s rapidly growing ambition, that enterprise may be considerably larger by the time Season 3 arrives.
