Peacock has renewed The Five Star Weekend for a second season after the Jennifer Garner-led drama became the streamer’s biggest scripted series ever in terms of overall reach. The renewal follows an impressive debut that has quickly turned the adaptation of Elin Hilderbrand’s bestselling novel into one of the summer’s breakout streaming hits.
According to Peacock, The Five Star Weekend has generated 1.8 billion minutes viewed and ranked among Nielsen’s Top 5 original streaming series during its first two weeks following its July 9 premiere. The success has also sparked renewed interest in Hilderbrand’s novel, which currently sits among The New York Times Best Sellers.
