The Style Network announces a second season pick-up for its new hit reality series “Giuliana & Bill.” The series is a real-life romantic comedy that takes viewers inside the marriage of Giuliana and Bill Rancic who – quite unlike most newlyweds – live 2,000 miles apart. Giuliana covers celebrity interviews, red carpet events and entertainment news for E! News in Los Angeles, while Bill is an author and professional speaker based in Chicago who frequently criss-crosses the nation making public appearances. Production for season two of “Giuliana & Bill” will begin this September.
“Style viewers tell us they love this series because it’s a positive and inspiring look at modern marriage,” said Salaam Coleman Smith, President, The Style Network. “We are excited to find out what the next chapter will bring in this long-distance love story.”
“Giuliana & Bill” debuted August 5 on Style and is posting significant gains for the network. Premiere episodes on Wednesdays at 9pm are up +85% over Style’s primetime delivery. The show is also making strides over Style’s primetime average with key measures, including +75% with households and more than doubling the network’s target Women 18-49 demo. “Giuliana & Bill” currently ranks as the second highest-rated original series on Style among both Women 18-34 and Women 18-49.
In season one of “Giuliana & Bill,” viewers have been introduced to the power couple’s whirlwind lifestyle, which includes juggling high-profile careers, hanging out with family and friends and traveling nearly 24/7, all while trying to find time for date nights and romance. Their relationship is filled with fun, humor, affection and even adventure – from rock-climbing to surfing to cooking lessons to piloting planes. They’re all about living, loving and sharing new experiences as husband and wife in two of America’s sexiest cities.
In season two, viewers will follow the couple as they look ahead and focus on future plans. They hope to start a family but first want to come to a decision on where they will raise kids – Los Angeles versus Chicago. But with their much-loved careers and families deeply rooted in both cities, convincing either party to move will be no easy task.
