Wilson has chosen the following films for his chance in the TCM programmer’s chair: High School Confidential (1958 – 8 p.m.), starring Russ Tamblyn, Jan Sterling, John Drew Barrymore, Mamie Van Doren, Jerry Lee Lewis, Jackie Coogan and Michael Landon, in the cult classic about drugged-out teens; The Gene Krupa Story (1959 – 9:30 p.m.), with Sal Mineo starring as the legendary jazz drummer struggling with a drug habit; Singin’ in the Rain (1952 – 11:15 p.m.), with Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds, Donald O’Connor and Jean Hagen in the classic musical tale about the advent of sound motion pictures; and The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T. (1953 – 1:30 a.m.), starring Hans Conried in the Dr. Seuss’ fantasy about land in which a cruel teacher kidnaps children and forces them to practice piano.
Wilson is well known to television viewers for his performance as the eccentric, egotistical Dwight Schrute in the hit series The Office, a role that has earned him two Emmy nominations and two ensemble awards from the Screen Actors Guild (SAG). His previous television credits include a recurring role on the series Six Feet Under, which also earned him an ensemble award from SAG.
On the big screen, Wilson has co-starred in such comedies as Juno, My Super Ex-Girlfriend, Sahara, Baadasssss, Almost Famous, American Sweethearts, Galaxy Quest and House of 1,000 Corpses. His theater credits include performances the Broadway productions of London Assurance and The Tempest, as well as such off-Broadway projects as The New Bozena, Plunge, Venus, Titus Andronicus and Twelfth Night. His regional work includes performances at the Guthrie Theatre, the Arena Stage and Dallas Theatre Center.
