Paramount+ Heads to New York Comic Con With Dexter: Resurrection, Avatar: Seven Havens and Star Trek: Starfleet Academy

Paramount+ is bringing three very different fan worlds to New York Comic Con this October, with Dexter: Resurrection, Avatar: Seven Havens and Star Trek: Starfleet Academy all set for first looks, cast conversations and new reveals. The streamer’s programming runs Thursday, October 8 through Saturday, October 10, during New York Comic Con’s October 8–11 return to the Javits Center.

Michael C. Hall, Uma Thurman, Holly Hunter, Robert Picardo, Janet Varney and William Shatner are among the names set to take part. For Dexter fans, the weekend also includes a separate 20th Anniversary Museum Experience in Manhattan.

Paramount+’s New York Comic Con 2026 Schedule

• Thursday, October 8, 12:30–2:00 p.m. — Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 panel, Main Stage
• Friday, October 9, 11:15 a.m.–12:15 p.m. — Avatar: Seven Havens panel, Main Stage
• Saturday, October 10, 3:15–4:15 p.m. — Star Trek Universe panel, Empire Stage

Fans heading to the convention can find event and attendance information through the official New York Comic Con site.

Dexter: Resurrection Celebrates 20 Years and Teases Season 2

Thursday’s Main Stage event puts the spotlight on the 20th anniversary of the Dexter franchise while offering attendees an exclusive look at the upcoming second season of Dexter: Resurrection. Josh Horowitz will moderate the panel, joined by Michael C. Hall, Uma Thurman, James Remar, Jack Alcott, Bokeem Woodbine and Krysten Ritter. Showrunner and executive producer Clyde Phillips will also appear with executive producers Scott Reynolds and Marcos Siega.

Season 2 finds Dexter Morgan caught between two dangerous killers: one with decades of infamy behind him and another newer threat terrorizing New York. The new season also continues the uneasy father-and-son story between Dexter and Harrison, with Dexter facing an unexpected mid-life crisis along the way.

Fans can extend the anniversary celebration beyond the convention floor at the Dexter 20th Anniversary Museum Experience, open October 9–11 at Chelsea Industrial, 547 West 28th Street in New York. The limited-time installation will feature franchise props, recreations, interactive elements and photo opportunities, with a standby line available daily. It will also host an onsite blood drive with the New York Blood Center.

Avatar: Seven Havens Takes the Stage on Premiere Day

Friday’s Main Stage panel lands on the global premiere day for Avatar: Seven Havens, the new original animated series set in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Janet Varney, the voice of Korra, will moderate a conversation with executive producers Michael Dante DiMartino, Bryan Konietzko, Ethan Spaulding and Sehaj Sethi, plus cast members Saheli Khan, who voices Pavi; Aishu Devan, who voices Nisha; and Major Curda, who voices Jae.

The 2D-animated series follows a young Earthbender who discovers she is the new Avatar after Korra, in a world reshaped by a devastating cataclysm. The panel promises a behind-the-scenes look at the new show along with a preview of what may be ahead for the broader Avatar Legends universe.

Elsewhere at the convention, the Avatar Legends Booth (#1723) will offer photo opportunities and swag, including an exclusive Reebok footwear collaboration. Paramount Games is also planning an Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game event at OS: NYC on Friday, October 9, featuring activations, a tournament and giveaways.

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Brings a Season 2 Sneak Peek

Paramount+’s Saturday panel celebrates the Star Trek franchise’s 60th anniversary and gives fans an early look at the sophomore season of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. Holly Hunter, Sandro Rosta, Bella Shepard, Karim Diané and Robert Picardo are set to appear alongside co-showrunners and executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau.

The panel will also include a special conversation with William Shatner, whose Captain James T. Kirk remains one of the franchise’s defining performances. It is the kind of anniversary-room moment that connects the newest corner of the universe to one of its foundational stars.

Season 2 sends the cadets into their second year aboard the USS Athena, where leadership, friendship, romance and morality will be tested by rivalries, diplomatic uncertainty and a fiercely competitive schoolwide tournament. A mysterious new cadet is also poised to raise questions with consequences beyond the classroom. Paramount+ has not announced a Season 2 premiere date in this update, making the Comic Con sneak peek the headline item for now.

Where to Watch

Dexter: Resurrection and Dexter: Original Sin are available on Paramount+ with the Premium Plan. The original Dexter series and Dexter: New Blood are available with all Paramount+ plans. Avatar: Seven Havens premieres globally on Paramount+ on Friday, October 9. Star Trek: Starfleet Academy is also a Paramount+ Original Series.

With three panels across three days, Paramount+ is giving New York Comic Con attendees a practical mix of returning-franchise anticipation, a major animated premiere and a look forward at the next generation of Star Trek. Expect the Main Stage and Empire Stage to be busy.
