NCIS Season 24 Episode 2 Promo: “Clean Slate”

NCIS Season 24 Episode 2, “Clean Slate,” brings the team a murder investigation in which every guest at a neighborhood dinner party appears to be hiding something. The new episode airs Tuesday, October 13, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. Watch the promo below.

Gary Cole returns as Alden Parker alongside Sean Murray as Timothy McGee, Wilmer Valderrama as Nick Torres and Katrina Law as Jessica Knight and Michael Weatherly is back as Anthony DiNozzo. After the Season 24 premiere brought Tony DiNozzo back, “Clean Slate” turns to a case that may be harder to define than the team initially expects.

What Is “Clean Slate” About?

A man is murdered following a neighborhood dinner party, making the other guests the obvious people to question. Their accounts quickly become a problem: according to CBS, every guest is lying. The conflicting stories involve a strange break-in at the victim’s house, things burned in the guests’ backyards and the identities they have presented to one another.

Those details give the team more than a list of possible suspects. They raise the question of whether the dinner party brought a preexisting secret to the surface or whether someone is trying to conceal an entirely different crime. CBS is keeping the answers under wraps, including why the agents begin to disagree about what kind of case they are investigating.

That uncertainty is the hook of the “Clean Slate” promo. Parker’s team has to sort out which lies are connected to the murder, which may point somewhere else and whether the guests are protecting themselves or one another. The episode is written by Steven D. Binder and Christopher J. Waild and directed by Marc Roskin.
