NBC Renews St. Denis Medical, Happy’s Place for 2026–27

NBC has officially renewed its second-year comedies St. Denis Medical and Happy’s Place for the 2026–27 television season, reaffirming the network’s confidence in the two breakout performers. The renewals ensure both shows will continue to anchor NBC’s primetime comedy lineup while also driving viewership on Peacock.

“Both St. Denis Medical and Happy’s Place have delivered comedic brilliance over their first two seasons, truly connecting with our audience with hilarious characters, and remain hugely important and successful programs to our primetime and Peacock lineup,” said Lisa Katz, President of Scripted Content for NBC & Peacock. She also thanked the casts, producers, and crews for bringing the series to life and continuing their laugh-out-loud storytelling.

The renewal comes as St. Denis Medical continues to post impressive ratings growth. During the 2025–26 season, the mockumentary stands as the only primetime comedy across all broadcast networks to show year-over-year linear growth in the 18–49 demo, excluding Fox comedies with NFL lead-ins. Season to date, the series is up 3% in the democompared to its previous season, underscoring its growing traction with viewers.

Momentum for St. Denis Medical surged following the winter break, with the January 5 episode becoming the show’s highest-rated installment in the demo since its November 2024 series premiere. That episode also ranked as the most-watched of the current season in total viewers, further solidifying the comedy’s upward trajectory. The series airs Mondays at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on NBC, with episodes streaming the next day on Peacock.

Meanwhile, Happy’s Place is also riding a wave of strong performance. The January 23 telecast marked the show’s best episode of the season to date in both the demo and total viewers. In the first quarter of 2026, the comedy is averaging +15% growth in the demo and +22% growth in total viewers compared to its fourth-quarter 2025 performance. Happy’s Place airs Fridays at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on NBC, with next-day streaming on Peacock.
