HBO Max announced today a straight-to-series order for the new drama THE GIRLS ON THE BUS, from executive producers/writers Julie Plec and Amy Chozick, Berlanti Productions, and Warner Bros. Television.
Inspired by a chapter of Amy Chozick’s best-selling book, this comedic character-driven drama chronicles four female journalists who follow every move of a parade of flawed presidential candidates, while finding friendship, love, and scandal along the way.
Inspired by a chapter in the best-selling book “Chasing Hillary” by New York Times correspondent Amy Chozick, THE GIRLS ON THE BUS television series focuses in on the lives and relationships of these female journalists.
Julie Plec (through her My So-Called Company) and Amy Chozick serve as executive producers/writers. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and David Madden are executive producers through Berlanti Productions and its overall deal with Warner Bros. Television.
