Third Annual Gotham Television Awards Winners Announced

The winners of the third annual Gotham Television Awards were revealed Monday night during a ceremony held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City, with HBO Max’s DTF St. Louis, Apple TV+’s Pluribus, Netflix’s Katrina: Come Hell and High Water, and HBO Max comedy I Love LA among the night’s biggest winners.

Leading the television categories, DTF St. Louis won Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, while David Harbour earned Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Limited or Anthology Series for his work on the series. Michael Shannon took home Outstanding Lead Performance in a Limited Series for Netflix’s Death by Lightning.

In the comedy categories, HBO Max’s I Love LA was named Breakthrough Comedy Series. Tim Robinson won Outstanding Lead Performance in a Comedy Series for The Chair Company, while Laurie Metcalf earned Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Comedy Series for her role in Big Mistakes.

Apple TV+’s highly anticipated Pluribus won Breakthrough Drama Series, giving creator Vince Gilligan another major accolade. Chase Infiniti was honored with Outstanding Lead Performance in a Drama Series for Hulu’s The Testaments, while Babou Ceesay won Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Drama Series for FX/Hulu’s Alien: Earth.

Netflix’s Katrina: Come Hell and High Water claimed the award for Breakthrough Nonfiction Series, while Shudder’s Reflection in a Dead Diamond was named Outstanding Original Film, Broadcast or Streaming. Corey Michael Smith won Outstanding Performance in an Original Film for HBO Max’s Mountainhead.

The Gotham also presented several special honors during the ceremony. Claire Danes received the Performer Tribute, The Duffer Brothers were recognized with the Visionary Tribute, Michelle Pfeiffer received the Legend Tribute, Kerry Washington was honored with the Spotlight Tribute, and the cast of Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessettereceived the Ensemble Tribute.

Additionally, The Gotham announced its annual Series Creators to Watch program in partnership with SeriesFest, recognizing emerging television creators whose work represents bold and innovative voices in the industry. Selected creators will participate in Gotham Week, taking place September 27 through October 3 in New York City.
