GODFATHER OF HARLEM To Conclude With Two-Hour Series Finale On MGM+

The story of Bumpy Johnson is officially coming to an end.

MGM+ has announced that GODFATHER OF HARLEM will conclude with a special two-hour series finale, bringing the critically acclaimed crime drama to an epic close after five seasons. Production on the finale is set to begin this month in New York, with Academy Award® winner Forest Whitaker returning as both star and executive producer.

Co-created by Chris Brancato (Narcos) and Paul Eckstein (Narcos), GODFATHER OF HARLEM has been one of MGM+’s signature original series since its debut, earning critical acclaim for its blend of historical drama, gripping crime stories, and standout performances led by Whitaker.

Since premiering in 2019, GODFATHER OF HARLEM has become one of MGM+’s defining original series, blending real historical events with compelling crime drama while chronicling the rise of Harlem crime boss Bumpy Johnson. Anchored by Forest Whitaker’s acclaimed performance, the series has built a loyal following over five seasons and established itself as one of television’s standout period dramas.

What To Expect From The GODFATHER OF HARLEM Series Finale

The two-hour finale promises to deliver Bumpy Johnson’s most dangerous battle yet.
