FX Networks Congratulates Its 2017 Emmy Award Nominees

FX Networks today received 55 Primetime Emmy® Award nominations, the most of any basic cable network for the fourth consecutive year. It was also the fourth consecutive year that FX Networks finished in the Top 5 for total nominations for all networks and streaming services.

Four FX Networks series were nominated for program awards – FEUD: Bette and Joan, and Fargo (Outstanding Limited Series), Atlanta (Outstanding Comedy Series) and Archer(Outstanding Animated Series). In all, nine FX Networks series received Emmy recognition in 35 categories, including 16 total actor nominations. FX Productions received 32 nominations.

FX Networks Emmy Award Nominations Highlights:

FEUD: Bette and Joan received 18 nominations, including Outstanding Limited Series, both Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie; Alfred Molina and Stanley Tucci for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie; and both Judy Davis and Jackie Hoffman for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie.

Fargo’s third installment received 16 total nominations, including Outstanding Limited Series, Ewan McGregor for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie; Carrie Coon for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie; and David Thewlis for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie.

Atlanta received 6 total nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series, and Donald Glover for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.

The Americans Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys were nominated for the second consecutive year, respectively, for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series; and Alison Wright was nominated for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series.

Baskets’ Zach Galifianakis was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series; and Louie Anderson was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for the second consecutive year.

Archer was nominated for Outstanding Animated Series for the second consecutive year.

Better Things’ Pamela Adlon was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

American Horror Story: Roanoke received four nominations in the hairstyling, makeup and sound editing categories.

Taboo received two nominations in the special visual effects and music composition categories.
