Starting Sunday, July 23 at 6:00 a.m. ET/3:00 a.m. PT, all eight episodes of the first season of HBO comedy series INSECURE will be available to stream for free for 24 hours at youtube.com/HBO and HBO.com. All eight episodes will also be available to non-HBO subscribers on participating television and streaming partners’ platforms and free on demand channels.
The critically acclaimed series INSECURE returns for its eight-episode second season SUNDAY, JULY 23 (10:30-11:00 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO. Starring Golden Globe nominee Issa Rae as Issa, Yvonne Orji as Molly, Jay Ellis as Lawrence and Lisa Joyce as Frieda, the series follows the friendship of two black women as they deal with their own real-life flaws while attempting to navigate different worlds and cope with an endless series of uncomfortable everyday experiences.
Punctuated by Rae’s pointed rap monologues and fantasies, INSECURE is an authentic, incisive and insightful exploration of the lives of contemporary black women.
Issa Rae wrote the New York Times bestseller “The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl,” which was published in 2015. Her web content has garnered more than 25 million views and over 200,000 subscribers on YouTube. In addition to making the Forbes 30 Under 30 list twice and winning the 2012 Shorty Award for Best Web Show for her hit series “Awkward Black Girl,” she has worked on web content for Pharrell Williams, Tracey Edmonds and numerous others.
