Edie Falco is headed back to network television. FOX has ordered Katie Greaves (working title), a new character-driven legal drama starring the four-time Emmy winner as an attorney rebuilding her life after personal tragedy.
Slated for the 2027–28 television season, the series comes from writer and executive producer Sharr White, with Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions and FOX Entertainment Studios behind it. Falco will also executive produce.

Falco plays Katie Greaves, a whip-smart, fiercely committed attorney who left the New Hampshire Public Defender’s office after a devastating personal loss. Now raising two young granddaughters with her husband and trying to build a life she never planned for, Katie finds herself drawn back to the work that once defined her.
Each case will test her instincts, her wit and her belief that everyone deserves a second chance—and somebody willing to fight for them. The premise gives Falco a role that should play directly to her ability to balance steeliness, humor and vulnerability in the same scene.
Edie Falco Leads the New FOX Series
Falco is best known for her acclaimed work as Carmela Soprano on The Sopranos and the title character in Nurse Jackie, performances that earned her four Emmy Awards across the two series. Her television credits also include Mayor of Kingstown, Oz, Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders, Impeachment: American Crime Story and 30 Rock.
Her casting gives Katie Greaves an immediate center of gravity. FOX Television Network President Michael Thorn called the character funny, formidable and deeply human, saying Falco brings the strength, wit and vulnerability the role requires.
Who Is Behind Katie Greaves?
Sharr White created the series and will serve as showrunner. White’s television work includes Presumed Innocent, Palm Royale, The Affair and Halston. He also executive produces alongside Falco, Ridley Scott and David W. Zucker of Scott Free Productions.
FOX Entertainment Studios will produce, with worldwide distribution handled by FOX Entertainment Global. Scott Free’s previous television work includes The Good Wife, The Man in the High Castle and Alien: Earth.
