DIG Scoop: Anne Heche Interview

Tasked with tracking down a U.S. criminal who murdered an antiques dealer that fled to Jerusalem, FBI attaché Lynn Monahan (Anne Heche) thinks of her former FBI mentor Peter Connelly (Jason Isaacs) and asks him to lead the investigation in Israel.   It is during the course of apprehending that fugitive that Peter and Lynn come across another murder, this time in Israel, that may tie back to the same man they were hunting.  While searching for the link tying the two crimes together, Lynn and Peter find themselves caught up in a global hotbed of intrigue, conspiracy and corruption.  With religious zealots anxious to ensure that their 2,000 year old prophecy comes true and hindering their investigation at every turn, Peter and Lynn are caught in the crosshairs.  It becomes a race to see if they can stop a cataclysmic series of events and bring justice for the people whose lives were lost.

Upon special invitation of USA Network to visit the set of DIG, star Anne Heche talked about her character Lynn Monahan’s complication role as Peter’s boss, their intertwined work and professional relationship, and how it is impossible to know exactly who to trust as the heroes and villains seem to shift before our eyes episode to episode.

As something fun for fans, during Anne’s video interview, her co-star Jason Isaacs popped in for a hilarious quick cameo.  So be sure to watch for that!

Anne also laughingly admitted that the fake blood she is wearing in the video interview is determinative of the level of danger her character faces towards the end of the series and how relieved she was to find that her character was still alive at that point.  DIG is not a story where the characters are kept safe for very long.  The danger that surrounds them is real and can strike at any time.
