Criminal Minds Season 9 Episode 2, “The Inspired,” continues the BAU’s investigation into the ritualistic killings in Arizona. As the team closes in on the suspect, a bizarre connection within the UnSub’s family provides a new lead that could finally help them solve the case.
The episode concludes the story that began in the Season 9 premiere, “The Inspiration,” with the investigation becoming more complicated as the BAU learns more about Wallace Hines and his family. This episode of Criminal Minds features Camryn Manheim as Carla Hines and Frederick Koehler in the dual roles of Wallace Hines and Jesse Gentry.
“The Inspired” stars Joe Mantegna as David Rossi, Thomas Gibson as Aaron Hotchner, Shemar Moore as Derek Morgan, Matthew Gray Gubler as Spencer Reid, A.J. Cook as Jennifer Jareau, Kirsten Vangsness as Penelope Garcia and Jeanne Tripplehorn as Alex Blake.
The episode originally aired October 2, 2013 on CBS. “The Inspired” was written by Breen Frazier and directed by Larry Teng.
