CBS Renews 10 Additional Series For The 2026–2027 Season

CBS is continuing to double down on its strongest franchises and proven hits. The network announced that it has renewed 10 additional series for the 2026–2027 broadcast season, bringing the total number of shows ordered so far to 16. The move reinforces CBS’s strategy of stability and brand consistency, anchored by top-rated dramas, long-running franchises, and reliable unscripted performers.

Leading the latest batch of renewals is Tracker, currently the #1 series on television, along with breakout comedy Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, now established as the #1 comedy. Also returning is Matlock, which has emerged as Thursday night’s #1 entertainment program, solidifying its place as a key anchor in the CBS schedule.

The renewal slate also includes popular dramas Elsbeth and Fire Country, both of which continue to perform strongly across linear and streaming platforms. The NCIS franchise remains a cornerstone of the network, with renewals for NCISNCIS: Origins, and international hit NCIS: Sydney all confirmed for the upcoming season.

Unscripted programming continues to be a major strength for CBS as well. Long-running reality staples Survivor and The Amazing Race have both been renewed, maintaining the network’s dominance in the genre and its appeal to multi-generational audiences.

These 10 renewals build on a previously announced group of series already ordered for the 2026–2027 season. That list includes breakout hits Boston Blue, currently the #1 new series and Friday night’s top show, and Sheriff Country, which ranks as the #2 new series. Veteran procedural FBI—Monday night’s #1 entertainment program—and fan-favorite comedy Ghosts, the #2 comedy, were also previously secured.

Rounding out the growing slate are new series Cupertino and Einstein, signaling that CBS is balancing franchise reliability with selective new additions. With 16 series already locked in, the network has laid a strong foundation for the 2026–2027 season, while leaving room for additional renewals and orders to be announced at future dates.

According to Nielsen season-to-date data (9/22/25–1/11/26), CBS continues to lead across multiple nights and genres, underscoring the performance-driven rationale behind the network’s renewal decisions. All CBS series air on the CBS Television Network and are available to stream on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after episodes air).

Stay tuned as CBS continues to finalize its 2026–2027 lineup with more renewals and series orders still to come.
