The Belcher family is getting into the holiday spirit a little early.
During the Bob’s Burgers panel at San Diego Comic-Con, creator and executive producer Loren Bouchard announced that the Emmy-winning animated comedy will receive an all-new holiday short titled “On the Fort Day of Christmas,”premiering exclusively on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally this holiday season.
The announcement was made during the Ballroom 20 panel, where Bouchard was joined by series stars H. Jon Benjamin, John Roberts, Kristen Schaal, Eugene Mirman, Dan Mintz, and supervising director Bernard Derriman.
A Snow Day Means One Thing for the Belcher Kids
The new holiday special centers on a record-breaking Christmas snowstorm that transforms the Belcher kids’ holiday plans into an unforgettable winter adventure.
According to the official synopsis, “On the Fort Day of Christmas” follows the Belcher siblings as they attempt to build the ultimate Christmas snow fort after an epic snowfall blankets the neighborhood.
Prime Video? Nope. Fancy vacations? Also no. Just the Belchers turning an ordinary snow day into the kind of hilarious family chaos fans have come to expect from the long-running animated favorite.
First Look Revealed at Comic-Con
Comic-Con attendees also got a first look at the upcoming holiday short during the panel, offering an early preview of the festive adventure awaiting fans later this year.
The standalone special will stream exclusively on Hulu in the United States and Disney+ in most international markets.
Season 17 Arrives in 2027
While fans can look forward to the holiday special later this year, Bob’s Burgers will officially return with Season 17 in 2027 on FOX.
New episodes will also be available to stream on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the United States.
With a holiday special arriving first and another full season already on the way, the Belcher family isn’t leaving fans hungry for laughs anytime soon.
