Animal Control is getting ready to clock back in, and FOX has released new cast photos ahead of the workplace comedy’s fifth season.
Animal Control Season 5 premieres Sunday, September 27 at 8:30 PM ET/PT on FOX, with Joel McHale returning as Frank Shaw alongside the rest of the show’s animal-wrangling crew. The move puts the series on Sunday nights as part of FOX’s comedy lineup.
The new Season 5 cast photos feature Joel McHale, Michael Rowland, Vella Lovell, Ravi Patel, Grace Palmer, Gerry Dee and Kyla Pratt, all of whom are returning for the new season.
Meet The Animal Control Season 5 Cast
McHale returns as Frank Shaw, the cynical former police officer whose ability to understand animals generally exceeds his patience for understanding people.
Michael Rowland returns as Frank’s partner Fred “Shred” Taylor, while Vella Lovell is back as precinct director Emily Price. Ravi Patel returns as family man Amit Patel, with Grace Palmer once again playing the free-spirited Victoria Sands.
Rounding out FOX’s current Season 5 cast are Gerry Dee as Templeton Dudge and Kyla Pratt as Daisy.

Animal Control Moves To Sundays For Season 5
The biggest scheduling change for Season 5 is the move to Sunday nights.
After previously airing on Thursdays, Animal Control will now join FOX’s Sunday comedy lineup, with its September 27 season premiere scheduled for 8:30 PM ET/PT.
The series follows a group of local animal control workers whose jobs continually reinforce one basic lesson: animals are simple, but humans are not.
Created by Bob Fisher, Rob Greenberg and Dan Sterling, the comedy has Tad Quill serving as showrunner. McHale also serves as an executive producer.
The series originally premiered in February 2023 and has steadily grown into one of FOX’s established live-action comedies, reaching its fifth season this fall.
