Alison Brie brought her signature mix of sharp comedy, screen presence, and old-school Hollywood charm to Esquire Magazine for a 2013 photo shoot photographed by Miko Lim.
The shoot originally appeared in the May 2013 issue of Esquire, during a major run for Brie, who was already familiar to TV fans for her roles as Annie Edison on Community and Trudy Campbell on Mad Men.
Brie has since continued to build one of the more versatile careers in film and television, moving between comedy, drama, voice work, and producing. She later starred in Netflix’s GLOW, appeared in projects including Promising Young Woman, Spin Me Round, Somebody I Used to Know, and Apples Never Fall, and remains tied to the long-awaited Communitymovie.

I love…
…the number thirty-eight. It’s so round. It’s a voluptuous number. Eighty-eight has gone too far.
Seeing my reflection in somebody else’s sunglasses. It’s a nice way to check in with yourself.
How loud my mother laughs at her own jokes.
