After retrieving the pot floating in her swimming pool, Nancy (MARY-LOUISE PARKER) frantically tries to return it to working condition. Failing, she goes to Heylia's (TONYE PATANO) to inform her of the situation. After some disagreement, they all return to the grow house where some interesting deals are made.
While waiting for Nancy to return, U-Turn (PAGE KENNEDY) holds Conrad (ROMANY MALCO) hostage at the grow house and discovers Sanjay (MAULIK PANCHOLY) hiding in the closet.
Celia (ELIZABETH PERKINS) celebrates her "good deed" at Nancy's a bit too much and stumbles home drunk. Dean (ANDY MILDER) and Isabel (ALLIE GRANT) find her and kick her out of the house once again. Returning to her hotel, Celia finds an equally drunk Doug (KEVIN NEALON) waiting, ready for reconciliation.
Meanwhile, Andy's (JUSTIN KIRK) Amber Alert has paid off — the police have located Shane (ALEXANDER GOULD) and are holding him at the station with Silas (HUNTER PARRISH). But Andy soon discovers the unintended consequences of his alert.

Celia tries to bond with Isabel in her motel room, but the girl calls in Child Protective Services.
In spite of his eight toes, Andy gets called up to the Army Reserves and is sent to boot camp. He later learns his unit is bound for Iraq.
While Nancy meets with Doug (KEVIN NEALON) to put her house on the market, Heylia (TONYE PATANO) and Conrad (ROMANY MALCO) locate a downtown warehouse to start their pot growing operation.
Meanwhile, Nancy runs errands for U-Turn, who sends her to pick up a brick of heroin from a Mexican gang. Later, a DEA agent shows up at her door inquiring about Peter's whereabouts.

Conrad (ROMANY MALCO) and Heylia (TONYE PATANO) set up their new growhouse. Silas (HUNTER PARRISH) performs his community service, while Andy (JUSTIN KIRK) gets into trouble doing his military service.
Synopsis: Under financial pressure from U-Turn (PAGE KENNEDY), Nancy decides she must obtain a real job. After getting resume help from Shane (ALEXANDER GOULD), she lands a job working for Sullivan Groff (MATTHEW MODINE).
Sullivan is the face of the neighboring faith-based town, Majestic. When his company and community need help from Agrestic, he proposes a deal to the Agrestic city council. Doug (KEVIN NEALON) leverages his knowledge to retake his seat on the council.
Celia (ELIZABETH PERKINS) is none too happy about these developments, but is intrigued by the mysterious and charming Sullivan.
At the new grow warehouse, Conrad (ROMANY MALCO) is in his element, building the operation and educating Heylia (TONYE PATANO) on the science behind it. Heylia is more concerned with their front business, Aguatecture.
Meanwhile, when his battle buddy, Rodriguez (JUSTIN HUEN), is killed, Andy (JUSTIN KIRK) goes AWOL in panic.
Nancy is able to dodge the DEA's questions about Peter for the time being, but she can't dodge U-Turn. When Silas (HUNTER PARRISH) explains the business opportunities in his community service, Nancy struggles to keep him at a distance.

Andy (JUSTIN KIRK) tries to hide from the military. Shane (ALEXANDER GOULD) starts summer school in Majestic, while Silas (HUNTER PARRISH) displays an aptitude for the family business.
Synopsis: While continuing her day job as Sullivan's (MATTHEW MODINE) assistant, Nancy (MARY-LOUISE PARKER), cannot avoid her other apprenticeship with U-Turn (PAGE KENNEDY). After Marvin (FATSO FASANO) gets shot, U-Turn takes Nancy on a revenge drive-by shooting aimed at the local Mexican gang. Her world is further invaded when U-Turn later shows up at her home with a mysterious trunk.
As Nancy deals with her involvement in the shooting, Andy (JUSTIN KIRK) returns home. On the run and in disguise, he pleads for help from everyone. Eventually, Dean (ANDY MILDER) facilitates a meeting with Andy's military superiors, where he strikes a deal guaranteeing his freedom from prosecution and the Army.
Back on city council, Doug (KEVIN NEALON) is able to strike a deal with Sullivan in exchange for his vote. Unbeknownst to Doug, Celia (ELIZABETH PERKINS) makes a better deal, earning herself a new house. Sullivan's Majestic town gets the access they need to Agrestic's sewer lines.
As Conrad (ROMANY MALCO) and Heylia (TONYE PATANO) discuss Marvin's shooting, it becomes clear the Mexicans were not involved. Conrad has started a rivals' war.
While he is initially upset about having to attend Majestic summer school, Shane (ALEXANDER GOULD) quickly becomes interested as his class is given a murder mystery to solve. But excitement turns to disgust when the answer is revealed as religious propaganda.
Meanwhile, Silas (HUNTER PARRISH) displays quite the ability to move his mother's product. Despite his talent, Nancy informs him it was a one-time deal.
"Grasshopper" Episode #3006

U-Turn pays Conrad (ROMANY MALCO) and Heylia (TONYE PATANO) a threatening visit. While doing community service, Silas (HUNTER PARRISH) meets the beautiful, religious Tara Lindman (MARY-KATE OLSEN).
Synopsis: Discovering a trunk full of heroin in her garage, Nancy (MARY-LOUISE PARKER), pleads to U-Turn (PAGE KENNEDY) to back off. Instead, he brings her along as he pays a threatening visit to Conrad (ROMANY MALCO) and Heylia (TONYE PATANO).
Sullivan Groff (MATTHEW MODINE) further burdens Nancy, asking her to throw a cocktail party for the town leaders of Agrestic and Majestic. He then asks Celia (ELIZABETH PERKINS) to be his date to the party. Upset he was bested by the pair, Doug (KEVIN NEALON) steps in to put a halt to things. Using environmental concerns as an excuse, he attempts stop construction on Majestic's sewer lines.
Silas (HUNTER PARRISH) continues to deal while performing his community service. At a Bingo game, he meets Tara Lindman (MARY-KATE OLSEN). A mix of fundamentalist Christian and street-smart pot smoker, Tara intrigues Silas and the two quickly hit it off.
Meanwhile, Nancy hosts the cocktail party with Andy (JUSTIN KIRK) whom she has enlisted to cater the event.
The next day, while hiking with Nancy and Marvin (FATSO FASANO), U-Turn drops dead; Nancy is stunned.
"He Taught Me How To Drive-By" Episode #3007

Shane (ALEXANDER GOULD) has trouble fitting in at school, while Silas (HUNTER PARRISH) continues to spend time with Tara (MARY-KATE OLSEN).
Synopsis: At U-Turn's wake, Marvin (FATSO FASANO) tells Nancy (MARY-LOUISE PARKER) he's in charge now. But his command is short-lived as Nancy soon makes a deal with the Mexican gang, guaranteeing her freedom along with Conrad's (ROMANY MALCO).
After the funeral, Nancy and Conrad have a conversation to themselves, reconnecting for the first time in a long time.
At a City Council meeting, Sullivan (MATTHEW MODINE) attempts to push a merger between Agrestic and Majestic. But Doug (KEVIN NEALON) has allied the other council members against Sullivan — everyone but Celia (ELIZABETH PERKINS), who is smitten with Sullivan and happy to help him. She advises Sullivan on how to sidestep the Council.
Shane (ALEXANDER GOULD) struggles to fit in at Majestic's religious summer school. He finds salvation in a young girl, until Isabel (ALLIE GRANT) upstages him.
Despite Shane's struggles, Silas (HUNTER PARRISH) accepts the beliefs of his new interest, Tara (MARY-KATE OLSEN) and continues to spend time with her.
Based on a recommendation from Sullivan, Andy (JUSTIN KIRK) has a new job catering a film shoot. He soon discovers it is an adult film, and is in heaven until his food causes a bad reaction with the actors.
Sullivan also has a few jobs for Nancy, which she completes with some deft multi-tasking. As a storm moves in, she shares her sense of accomplishment with Sullivan. Unbeknownst to her, the rainstorm also resurfaces the remains of her estranged husband.
"The Two Mrs. Scottsons" Episode #3008

Synopsis: With the discovery of Peter's body, the DEA realize they have more questions than answers. At his funeral, Nancy (MARY-LOUISE PARKER) is confronted with the sight of Peter's other ex-wife, Valerie (BROOKE SMITH). Curious, she continues to watch Valerie for days, until she is compelled to meet her.
Meanwhile, Nancy is free from U-Turn, but must now supply her own business again. But Heylia (TONYE PATANO) is less appreciative of their freedom than Nancy had hoped, and without a large sum of cash, Heylia will not sell to her. So Nancy turns to Doug (KEVIN NEALON) who makes her a loan through a dummy investment corporation. Silas (HUNTER PARRISH) and Tara (MARY-KATE OLSEN) deliver the money to Heylia, who has been unsuccessful in selling directly to medicinal marijuana clubs. Heylia is again forced to do business with Nancy.
Celia (ELIZABETH PERKINS) overcomes her vulnerability as she decides to take the next step with Sullivan (MATTHEW MODINE), despite his continued flirtations with Nancy.
On the film set, Andy (JUSTIN KIRK) is asked to take on a greater role. He soon finds himself in a series of adult films, making the most of his missing toes.
Too rebellious for Majestic summer school, Shane (ALEXANDER GOULD) and Isabel (ALLIE GRANT) get suspended. Passing the time, they experiment briefly with marijuana and share a frank discussion on their problems.

Synopsis: Nancy (MARY-LOUISE PARKER), her breast still clamped in a mammogram machine, convinces Peter's ex-wife and mammogram technician Valerie (BROOKE SMITH) to continue their conversation over coffee. But Nancy's awkward attempt at friendship fails when Valerie wants nothing to do with her.
Meanwhile, a biker gang forces Harley-riding Dean (ANDY MILDER) off a cliff.
Back at the house, Nancy assembles Andy (JUSTIN KIRK), Sanjay (MAULIK PANCHOLY) and Tara (MARY-KATE OLSEN) into a high-tech distribution team of pot dealers, while choosing to pawn Silas (HUNTER PARRISH) off on Conrad (ROMANY MALCO) to learn the growing side of the business. Valerie stops by to apologize.
Celia (ELIZABETH PERKINS) and Sullivan (MATTHEW MODINE) celebrate their budding romance by planning a trip to Maui.
The next morning, Isabel (ALLIE GRANT) interrupts Celia and Sullivan to tell her that Dean is in the hospital. Doug (KEVIN NEALON) discovers that Sullivan has revoked his golf membership.
Back at the hospital, Celia must cope with the responsibility of caring for an invalid husband, while Doug and Andy sample Dean's morphine drip. Celia then goes to Sullivan and asks to sell her house so she can pay Dean's hospital bills, only to find out she can't.
Nancy and Valerie celebrate their new friendship by getting drunk and eating cake. The next day, Nancy joins Sullivan at a press conference to announce the takeover of Agrestic by Majestic. But the festivities are marred when Doug sabotages the highway, which explodes a fountain of raw sewage over the party.

Synopsis: Nancy's (MARY-LOUISE PARKER) distribution team is bringing in lots of cash, so she visits her accountant Doug (KEVIN NEALON) who's worried about repaying the municipal funds he invested in Aguatecture.
When Nancy returns home, Andy (JUSTIN KIRK) relays to Nancy that the DEA called, and wants Nancy to visit their office. Nancy goes to the DEA and learns she's getting a large check from Peter's life insurance and pension.
Meanwhile, Celia (ELIZABETH PERKINS) deals with invalid husband Dean (ANDY MILDER).
At the grow house, Conrad (ROMANY MALCO) lectures Silas (HUNTER PARRISH) on hydroponics.
Nancy takes Shane (ALEXANDER GOULD) to play miniature golf with Valerie (BROOKE SMITH) and Valerie's son Tim (DARYL SABARA). Valerie learns Nancy was married to Peter and demands the DEA money for herself. Nancy agrees to give it to her.
Later, Doug visits Nancy in a panic: they need to re-pay the city $100k by tomorrow.
Sullivan (MATTHEW MODINE) goes over to Celia's house to seduce her, but ends up stumbling on Dean hiding in closet.
Valerie discovers she's no longer getting Peter's DEA money, since Nancy had to give it to Doug. Nancy promises to deliver it soon, but Valerie wants it now.
The Majestic city council grills Doug on his Aguatecture investment. Valerie hires a private investigator to follow Nancy. Nancy seduces Sullivan; Celia eyes them from the next room.

Back at home, Silas tries to convince Nancy to fire Tara, to no avail. Outside, Shane (ALEXANDER GOULD) and Andy (JUSTIN KIRK) install security cameras.
Meanwhile, Celia arrives at the Aguatecture office, where she is confronted by Heylia (TONYE PATANO), Vaneeta (INDIGO) and Conrad (ROMANY MALCO).
Shane's security cameras alert Nancy to the P.I. outside her house. Nancy confronts him, but he blackmails her for the money she owes Valerie.
Frustrated, Celia tortures Dean (ANDY MILDER) until he tells her about Aguatecture, while Nancy meets up with the P.I. to hand over the cash. She gives him the cash, but blackmails him from revealing her as a drug dealer.
Nancy then goes to Valerie and ends their friendship.
"The Dark Time" Episode #3012

Synopsis: Celia (ELIZABETH PERKINS) confronts Nancy (MARY-LOUISE PARKER) about Aguatecture. Nancy responds by holding a knife to Celia's throat and chasing her out, in full view of Shane (ALEXANER GOULD).
Meanwhile, Heylia (TONYE PATANO) learns that a fire inspector is visiting the grow warehouse and tells Conrad (ROMANY MALCO) and Silas (HUNTER PARRISH) that they must evacuate the plants.
While leaving her house to deal with the situation, Nancy is stopped by Sullivan (MATTHEW MODINE) who professes his love for her.
Andy (JUSTIN KIRK) takes Dean (ANDY MILDER) to play murderball, where he meets a hot biker chic named Denise (SPRAGUE GRAYDEN).
Out of options, Nancy must go to Celia and rent her empty Majestic house in order to unload the pot plants from the warehouse before they die.
Sullivan confronts Doug (KEVIN NEALON) about a large cross missing from the Majestic church, but Doug denies any involvement.
Andy visits Denise at her house and meets other bikers, who offer to supply him with ditch weed. Andy declines to buy and Denise refuses to go out with him.
Back at the new grow house, Nancy and Conrad reconnect and have some very long overdue sex.
The following morning, Nancy returns home to find a very large stolen cross in her foyer.

Celia (ELIZABETH PERKINS) tries to deposit a large amount of cash at a bank and realizes she has a lot to learn about operating an illegal business.
Doug (KEVIN NEALON) calls Sullivan (MATTHEW MODINE) with a voice distorter to taunt him about the stolen cross, but the voice distorter fails.
Back at the grow house, Celia convinces Heylia (TONYE PATANO) to tutor her about the drug business.
Nancy has an overdue talk with Shane about his dead father, and expresses her concern for his mental health.
Meanwhile, Eve Meriweather (SHARON SACHS) visits Conrad (ROMANY MALCO) at the grow house in search for the stolen cross.
Celia stops by Doug's office and asks him to set up a dummy corporation for her.
Silas brings a gun home to Nancy, calling for revenge against the bikers. Nancy returns the gun to Conrad, but not before making a deal with Mexican gang leader Guillermo (GUILLERMO DIAZ) for protection.
Andy meets Denise (SPRAGUE GRAYDEN) at a car wash and defends his family.
Elsewhere, at DEA headquarters, surveillance footage reveals the location of the stolen cross. Back in Majestic, a large brush fire encroaches from the foothills.

Logline: As the wildfire approaches, everyone must evacuate. Nancy (MARY-LOUISE PARKER) tells her family to pack up, while Conrad (ROMANY MALCO) and Heylia (TONYE PATANO) must say goodbye to the growhouse. The authorities question Sullivan (MATTHEW MODINE) and Celia (ELIZABETH PERKINS), while Shane (ALEXANDER GOULD) continues to ask Nancy about Pittsburgh. As Andy (JUSTIN KIRK) deals at the evacuation center, SILAS (HUNTER PARRISH) realizes the truth about Tara (MARY-KATE OLSEN).
Synopsis: As the wildfire approaches, the authorities issue a mandatory evacuation for the town. Nancy (MARY-LOUISE PARKER) must get her family to pack their belongings and head to an evacuation center, where the rest of the town, including Doug (KEVIN NEALON), Dean (ANDY MILDER) and Isabel (ALLIE GRANT), have already gathered.
Also affected by the order are Conrad (ROMANY MALCO), Heylia (TONYE PATANO) and Vaneeta (INDIGO), who must take what they can from the growhouse before the authorities come through. When the law does arrive, it begins a series of interrogations, beginning with Sullivan Groff (MATTHEW MODINE). Sullivan leads them to Celia (ELIZABETH PERKINS), who is arrested in front of everybody at the evacuation center. Celia, in turn, is not afraid to name names.
As Andy (JUSTIN KIRK) seizes the opportunity at the evacuation center to move product, Shane (ALEXANDER GOULD) continues to struggle with the idea of moving to Pittsburgh.
Throughout the day, Silas (HUNTER PARRISH) joins Tara (MARY-KATE OLSEN) in a prayer circle. But eventually her religious zealotry is too much for him to bear.
With her town burning below her, Nancy has one last meeting with the leader of the Mexican gang, Guillermo (GUILLERMO DIAZ) to discuss the future. Later, Nancy sneaks back into her home for one final goodbye.
