The Next Food Network Star is back, and the network continues to find people who are over the top, a little delusional, and absolutely not ready for the challenge, which makes it one of my favorite shows on TV. The 10 finalists are immediately thrown into the fire, having to cater (in teams) the 16th anniversary party for Food Network. The party features the likes of Giada DeLaurentis, Duff Goldman (Ace of Cakes), Alton Brown, etc., all judging the cooks on their food and their personalities.
Right off the bat, a few people stand out – there’s Michael, the over the top, Chuck Bass-talking guy from New York who is both an awesome cook, and a great personality – I’m interested to see how far he can go! Debbie, from WeHo, CA, is another person that I think I might love to hate. She seems nice enough, but she doesn’t shop on a budget, and she basically screws her teammates. And then there’s the delusional – Brett and Jen both seem like they think they have it, but they don’t perform. I’m interested to see where it goes.
The screener didn’t include the final winner or who was kicked off, so I’m tuning in with all of you to see how it turns out!
