The episode is written by Antonia March & Jacqueline McKinley and directed by Victor Gonzalez , continuing the series’ tradition of heartfelt storytelling blended with sharp, character-driven humor.
Now in its eighth season, THE NEIGHBORHOOD Tichina Arnold as the vibrant and savvy Tina, Sheaun McKinney as aspiring writer Malcolm, Marcel Spears as engineer-turned-business-owner Marty, and Skye Townsend as Courtney.
Across the street, Max Greenfield stars as well-meaning therapist Dave Johnson, who continues to navigate suburban life with Gemma (Beth Behrs) and their son Grover. After eight years of friendship, the Butlers and Johnsons function more like extended family—even if Calvin still refuses to fully admit it.
