THE BRIDE! Begins Streaming Exclusively On HBO Max May 22

Warner Bros. Pictures’ THE BRIDE!, the highly anticipated reimagining written, directed, and produced by Maggie Gyllenhaal, is heading to streaming later this month. Starring Jessie Buckley and Christian Bale, the film will make its global streaming debut exclusively on HBO Max on Friday, May 22, before making its HBO linear premiere on Saturday, May 23 at 8:00 PM ET.

A bold new take on the classic Frankenstein-inspired story, THE BRIDE! also features an impressive ensemble cast including Annette Bening, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Penélope Cruz, adding even more star power to one of the year’s most talked-about releases.

In addition to the standard release, an American Sign Language (ASL) version of THE BRIDE! will debut exclusively on HBO Max the same day, performed by ASL Dubber Yamila Davis and directed by Rosa Lee Timm, continuing HBO Max’s push for accessible streaming experiences.

THE BRIDE! Trailer

A lonely “Frank” travels to 1930s Chicago to ask groundbreaking scientist Dr. Euphronious to create a companion for him. The two revive a murdered young woman and The Bride is born. What ensues is beyond what either of them imagined: Murder! Possession! A radical cultural movement! And outlaw lovers in a wild and combustible romance!

THE BRIDE! is also produced by Oscar® nominees Emma Tillinger Koskoff, Talia Kleinhendler, and Osnat Handelsman Keren. The executive producers are Carla Raji, David Webb, and Courtney Kivowitz.
