The Blacklist Season 1 Episode 18, “Milton Bobbit,” finds Red (James Spader) directing the task force toward a disturbing new Blacklister known as “The Undertaker.” The episode originally aired March 31, 2014 on NBC and guest stars Damian Young as Milton Bobbit, a life insurance claims adjuster with an unusual method for arranging murders.
Bobbit recruits terminally ill people to carry out killings in exchange for providing financial security for the families they leave behind. As Red, Liz (Megan Boone), Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) and the team investigate the seemingly unrelated deaths, they uncover the connection between Bobbit’s targets and a deadly clinical drug trial.
Meanwhile, Liz is dealing with a much more personal mystery after discovering that Tom (Ryan Eggold) isn’t the man she believed him to be. Her growing suspicions about her husband continue pushing one of The Blacklist Season 1’s central storylines toward its breaking point as Liz works with Red to uncover Tom’s secrets.
“Milton Bobbit” was written by Daniel Voll and directed by Steven A. Adelson. The episode also stars Parminder Nagra as Meera Malik and Harry Lennix as Harold Cooper.
