Sound bars have gotten a pretty bad rap over the years. Most audiophiles would rather spend more money on a trio of speakers, and the casual music fan is typically willing to trade sound quality for a much smaller speaker size. In recent years two things have happened. Sound bars have gotten smaller and TV’s have gotten slimmer. As sound bars got smaller many of them, like the Vizio SB362An-F6, are still able to maintain and in some cases expand the sound quality.
As the size has come down and the quality has gone up more and more people are turning to sound bars to enhance their entertainment system. Enter the latest sound bar from Vizio. The SB362An-F6, can be mounted on a wall or placed in front of a TV, is meant to be paired with TV sets 40 inches or larger. The SB362An-F6 comes with a remote control and all of the necessary cables and batteries for an easy setup. Connection types include analog and optical digital audio inputs as well as a USB port.
The SB362An-F6 can adapt to your setup. Whether you decide to put it in front of your TV or mount it on the wall, its adjustable design keeps each driver in peak position for optimal performance. The sound bar’s left and right channels automatically switch to match the sound bar’s orientation.
Vizio did a great job with the design of the SB362An-F6. It’s very modern looking, slim and can blend in with any TV setup. The 2.1 system with two Built-in Subwoofers combines premium design and outstanding audio in a high-performance package.
We decided to test the SB362An-F6 with both the analog and optical digital audio connections. Setup was a breeze. We had the box open and the SB362An-F6 up and running in just a couple of minutes. While we couldn’t tell the sound difference between the two setups, obviously the digital connection supplies a more accurate sound. Bass was accurate and the sound was a major upgrade from the built-in TV speakers.
You can also connect to the SB362An-F6 via Bluetooth. Again, setup was a breeze. We had music streaming from an iPad and iPhone in just a couple of minutes. While you can’t get house rumbling bass the SB362An-F6 offers more than enough low end to bring all sorts of music, movies and TV shows to life.
The SB362An-F6 is an ideal speaker for someone looking to boost their TV sound or for someone looking to stream music into a living room, bedroom or office. Great product at an affordable price.
