Saturday Night Live is returning for Season 52 with NBA Finals MVP Jalen Brunson leading an opening stretch of hosts that also includes Dakota Johnson, Shane Gillis and Inde Navarrette.
NBC announced that SNL Season 52 will premiere Saturday, September 26, with Brunson making his hosting debut alongside first-time musical guest KATSEYE. The New York Knicks star was named MVP of the 2026 NBA Finals after helping the franchise win its first championship in 53 years.
The season continues October 3 with Dakota Johnson returning to Studio 8H for her third hosting appearance. Johnson stars in Verity, which opens in theaters October 2. Grammy-winning hardcore band Turnstile will make its SNL debut as musical guest.
Shane Gillis returns for his third hosting appearance on October 10. Gillis is coming off a record-setting sold-out performance at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field, while his Netflix comedy Tires has been renewed for a fourth season. Rosalía will join him for her second appearance as musical guest.
After a two-week break, Saturday Night Live returns October 31 with Inde Navarrette making her hosting debut. Navarrette is coming off the horror-thriller Obsession and is set to appear in the upcoming X-Men film and The Waffle House Index. Gracie Abrams will make her second appearance as musical guest.

SNL enters its 52nd season after ranking as the #1 broadcast comedy series among adults 18-49 for the 2025-26 season. Season 51 earned 11 Emmy nominations, adding to the long-running sketch comedy’s record as the most Emmy-nominated and most Emmy-winning series in television history.

Saturday Night Live Season 52 premieres Saturday, September 26 at 11:30 p.m. ET / 8:30 p.m. PT on NBC. The show will also stream live on Peacock.
