SLOW HORSES Season 6 Gets Premiere Date And First-Look Photos From Apple TV+

Apple TV+ has unveiled the first-look photos and premiere date for the highly anticipated sixth season of SLOW HORSES, the Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning spy thriller led by Academy Award winner Sir Gary Oldman.

The six-episode season premieres globally on September 16, 2026, with the first episode arriving on Apple TV+ followed by new episodes weekly through October 21, 2026.

Based on Mick Herron’s acclaimed novels, SLOW HORSES follows a group of disgraced British intelligence agents assigned to Slough House, a dumping ground for MI5 operatives whose careers have gone spectacularly off track. At the center of it all is Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman), the brilliant but abrasive leader who somehow keeps his team alive while navigating the dangerous world of espionage.

In Season 6, the Slow Horses find themselves on the run after Diana Taverner pulls them into a deadly game of retaliation and revenge, raising the stakes higher than ever before.

Returning cast members include Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Rosalind Eleazar, Joanna Scanlan, Samuel West, Ruth Bradley, Tom Brooke, Jonathan Pryce, and Hugo Weaving. Joining the series this season is BAFTA TV Award winner Lenny Rush.

Since its debut, SLOW HORSES has become one of Apple TV+’s most acclaimed original series, earning praise from critics and audiences alike for its sharp writing, dark humor, and standout performances. All five previous seasons hold Certified Fresh ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, with multiple seasons earning perfect critics’ scores.

The series is produced for Apple TV by See-Saw Films, with Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Julian Stevens, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Adam Randall, Gail Mutrux, Douglas Urbanski and Oldman serving as executive producers. Season six is adapted for television

 by co-executive producer Gaby Chiappe, with Adam Randall returning to direct. The complete first five seasons of “Slow Horses” are now streaming on Apple TV.
